04.2.2018 | FCC Consumer Alert: 'Neighbor Spoofing'

The FCC is warning consumers about "neighbor spoofing" scams where thieves manipulate caller ID information in ways that make calls appear to have been placed locally.

Access to the 25Live system is currently unavailable.  User can use the site to search for locations or events, but will not be able to login to the system to make reservations.
 
ITS is monitoring the situation with the vendor and will provide updates when available.
06.21.2018 | Nexus Scheduled Outage for Planned Upgrade

On Thursday, June 21, Nexus will be upgraded to version 3.4 to improve functionality and enable new features for your use this Fall term. Services will be offline from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm ET. During this period of time, you will not be able to access the system.

07.10.2018 | Nexus 2012-13 courses scheduled for deletion

ITS retains LMS courses in Nexus on a rolling five (5) year basis from the end of the term a course is taught, as per the Learning Management System (LMS) Course Retention Policy. On July 10th, ITS will remove course sites more than five (5) years old. (i.e., Summer, 2012, Fall 2012, Winter 2013, Spring 2013 term courses). Exemptions to the policy are handled on a case-by-case basis (contact snyderd2@union.edu).

Faculty and Staff Support

The Information Technology Services (ITS) department centralized Helpdesk provides software and hardware support to the Campus Community.  The Helpdesk was designed for two purposes.  First, to provide an easy to use tool that serves as a single point of contact for you to report problems or ask questions about computing systems, your office computer, or other equipment and software.  Secondly, by logging your  request into our Helpdesk database, all of our staff can monitor, research, and contact you with a resolution more efficiently.  The Helpdesk is staffed by full-time ITS employees. The hours of operation are Monday- Friday 9:00 am through 4:30 pm, including lunch.

The helpdesk is located in Steinmetz Hall room 101.  You may stop in with your questions or call the helpdesk at extension 6400.  You can also send an email to helpdesk@union.edu or logging in at http://helpdesk.union.edu website and enter a work order.

When going to the help desk website for the first time, you will be prompted to login to the system:  Your username is your Union College username and your initial password has been set to changeme. After you login, you will be asked to change your initial password immediately.
