Nexus Fall Term Courses Available

July 27, 2017
Nexus
ITS is pleased to announce that Fall term Nexus course websites are now available to faculty.

IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE

Fall term Nexus course websites are now available to faculty, and students are enrolled. If you do not see an expected course website listed, it may mean that ITS has not received course/enrollment data yet. Please send an email to helpdesk@union.edu with the course title, course ID number, and instructor name and indicate you are missing a course website in Nexus.

Students will not see the course website until you've made it available to them. Please make sure to toggle the visibility of your course website from "hide" to "show" (under Course Administration --> Edit Settings --> General--> Visible) when you are ready for your students to view your site.

Top new features in Nexus (Moodle 3.2).  Nexus was successfully upgraded to version 3.2 over summer 2017. You will notice that Nexus/Moodle 3.2 offers a much cleaner, more streamlined look and feel! The new theme is based on Bootstrap 4, a modern, fully responsive framework to ensure all Nexus users enjoy a good viewing experience no matter what type of computing device they’re using—whether on a desktop computer or a mobile device!

ITS is offering "Nexus Enhancements" workshops during Fall startup to highlight the top new features in Nexus (Moodle 3.2). No registration necessary–just come by and feel free to bring your lunch! These workshops will provide a broad overview of the exciting new features available in Nexus. Learn more about the top new features in Nexus (Moodle 3.2) on the ITS website at <its.union.edu/documentation/new-features-nexus-32>.
