04.2.2018 | FCC Consumer Alert: 'Neighbor Spoofing'

The FCC is warning consumers about "neighbor spoofing" scams where thieves manipulate caller ID information in ways that make calls appear to have been placed locally.

07.26.2018 | CHANGE: Password required for "union" wireless network - Effective August 2, 2018

In order to provide better security on our public wireless network, Union College will be requiring a password to join the "union" WiFi. This new step will be effective starting on August 2nd at 9:00 am.

08.16.2018 | Colleague System Unavailable Wednesday, August 22 6am-9:30am

On Wednesday, August 22nd, software updates will be installed on the Colleague system. The installation will begin at 6:30 a.m. and expected completion is by 9:30 a.m.

FDI Alumni: Ideas & Inspiration for the Classroom

The following Faculty Development Institute (FDI) alumni will share how they are applying what they learned in the program in their teaching:

  • Jeremy Vanderover, Visiting Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering: Making Group Work Work 
  • Rajashree Mazumder, Assistant Professor of History: Using Question Formulation Technique to Get Students Talking About Uncomfortable Subjects
  • Catherine Walker, Visiting Professor of Psychology: Improving Student Writing with Peer Review
  • Erika Nelson, Associate Professor of German: Using Pathbrite and Perusall to Support Reflective Learning

*This lunchtime event is designed to provide time for an informal gathering and conversation amongst all faculty members. Faculty are encouraged to use this time to introduce yourself to our *newest* faculty members or anyone else you have not yet had the opportunity to meet.
