Faculty Computing Resource Center (FCRC)

Welcome to the Faculty Computing Resource Center (FCRC), located in Room 101 Steinmetz Hall. This facility is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The FCRC is operated by ITS as a place where faculty and staff can experiment with both hardware and software to which they might not normally have access.

Your Union College ID card is required to have access to the FCRC. You can obtain your ID card from the Campus Safety Office.

FCRC Equipment

All computers installed in the Faculty Computing Resource Center are equipped with Microsoft Office, PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat, etc. Specialty applications such as Pinnacle Studio (video editing), Audacity (audio editing), ArcGIS, Mathematica, OmniPage OCR, etc. are also installed although not all applications are on all computers.  Mac #2, the iMac, is configured to dual boot Mac OS X and Windows Vista.

Both an HP Color LaserJet 3800n and a LaserJet 4050tn are also available to all computers in the FCRC.

ITS has recently installed a Smart Board with a UX60 Projector System. Software will need to be installed on your laptop.  You can contact the Academic Help Desk at x6400 you have the software installed.
