Hardware Support
Faculty/Staff Office Computers
- Triage all hardware problems with computers, printers, scanners, etc.
- Coordinate sending faculty equipment out for repair.
- Perform basic upgrades such as installing memory, hard drives, etc. Install printers, scanners, and other computer peripherals.
- Relocate compute equipment.
Faculty/Staff Personal Computers
- ITS only supports hardware owned by Union College.We do not provide any hardware support for personally owned computers, even if they are used for academic purposes.
- ITS can recommend local computer service & repair firms.
- Additionally, the Bookstore has the ability to service computers that were not purchased through the Bookstore. Please contact Computer Sales at x2402 for more information.
Departmental Lab Computers
- Each department is responsible for having a full-time employee in charge of labs. This person should do the initial triage of hardware problems.
- ITS will provide back-up support.
Student Owned Computers
- ITS does not provide any hardware support for student owned computers.
- Maintenance of computers purchased from the Bookstore are handled through the Bookstore. Additionally, the Bookstore will service (in some cases) computers purchased elsewhere.
